It was tiring but fun but in the end, my body craved for some sleep.

I would like to thank all the attendees and and organizers, the CDOBloggers for a job well done. Like what I said, we are still a young group but we have gone a long way. Thanks to DCM Leslie Basset for gracing my requested interview, for the speakers for sharing their thoughts and knowledge, and for the friends I've won during that day. It sure is a small world.

Anyhoo, congratulations to my fellow cdobloggers who were nominees and winners during the Philippine Blog Awards Night last night: Mike A. and Chiq Montes, and to all you guys for making my first MBS memorable. We Rock!

Thanks also to SM City Cagayan de Oro for my gift certificate. Speech: I did not expect to win this, all I knew was that I had to wear a dress. :). Thanks SM!

Feeling lucky, I won a google shirt too! Thanks to Kenneth too for giving me his shirt. :) For more info visit LMT we offer great suggestion on tour and travelling

Re: Cagayan de Oro City waits for you at the MBS3

Back from 2 sleep-deprived nights at Pearlmont Inn preparing and attending to the needs of Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3. His stuttering childlike speech, incompatible with his towering 6-foot height, sometimes made people laugh. Today, Bienvenido Banez, Jr., towers all the more for achievements uncommon among Filipino artists.
Diagnosed with mild learning disability during childhood, Ben’s focus of attention has always been his art. Rightly so. In 2002, he won first place in the Asian Fellowship Painting Competition of the prestigious Vermont Studio Center, launched from Vermont, USA. Last year, in New York City, where he based himself after his Vermont fellowship, he was the only Filipino among the more than seventy international, surreal visual artists featured in the grandest-ever birth anniversary celebration of John Milton and what is considered as the greatest English poem, his Paradise Lost.
Earlier, in 2004, the president and executive director of Williamsburg Art & Historical Center in Brooklyn, while viewing Ben’s painting, commented to a fashion photographer that Banez is the “greatest living surrealist from the Philippines.” This comment from contemporary Surrealism’s prime mover, Terrance Lindall, himself the organizer of Milton’s biggest birthday bash, may have been trivially said. But today it is substantiated by yet another achievement in Banez’s career: his name, profile, and sample work are recently published in a German edition of “The International Encyclopedia of Fantastic, Surrealist, Symbolist, & Visionary Artists” or Lexikon Surreal for short. Thus, Bienvenido Bones Banez, again the only Filipino in the inventory, now appears along with Surrealism greats such as Salvador Dal&iaccute;, Ernst Fuchs, Keith Wigdor, and Jon Beinart, to name a few, in the same book.

To Know more about this Please visit Our LMT Site You can get much info about this blog and about this topic

---------------------------
http://www.lastminutetravel.com/Destination/Orl...

Re: The bloggers of Zamboanga

A few weeks ago, my friend Mr. Jerome Locson initiated a gathering of bloggers. I immediately replied and volunteered to help out. I like meeting new people and organizing gatherings and events even if these are sometimes too stressful to do. I don’t know, but I feel alive and productive if I see an avenue for some of my ideas come to life.

Anyway, we have already met twice and have already added each other on Plurk, which is a way for us also to bond online. We get to tease each other and comfort one another through the said latest micro blogging tool.

We also have made progress by making our meetups constant, we are scheduled for a meetup every tuesday night in any place as long as there is WIFI access. So far the only place where we’ve met is at Mr. Bean Cafe in Catribo Complex, do you have any suggestions of another place where it would be cool to hangout?

We also planned to tap Bloggers living or are former residents of Zamboanga Peninsula Region. Our region is always in the front page of Newspapers because of the different chaos that have transpired but rarely do we read good news that have happened and have given us pride. We intend to change this course, with the help of blogging. I also believe that if we truly would want change to happen, we should not only be contented on doing the complaining but look for ways for this to come into reality. We also aim to promote unity, camaraderie and prosperity amidst our differences in religion or beliefs, school, age, gender and so much more.

We are still in the lookout for more active Zambo Pen Bloggers and if you know of one, kindly refer us to him or her.

If you would want to join us and be acquainted online or offline. Just comment on this page and leave your contact info and we would get in touch with you as soon as we can.

By the way, if you are on facebook, you can hook up with us by joining our Facebook Group

Muchisimas Gracias! Daghang Salamat and….
