mindanao island is a great place and lots of people come to there but with the terrorism issue, they think twice before go there

Mindanao is a great and beautiful Island, its no wonder why tourism over in that area is a big hit, but it recently dropped because of terrorism, its really bad, I just hope their government do something about it before it totally affects tourism..

I've been to many different islands within the Philippines, but Mindanao is the one that I haven't gotten to yet. I believe tourism will succeed as long as the island continues to try and take a tough stance against terrorism or extremism. This is the one concern that some foreigners have when deciding where to visit within the country.

I recognize the importance of media, peace, culture and tourism in contributing to the improvement of the collective efforts and psyche of a people in promoting peace
